Maybe that&#039;s why the parents cut you some slack.   &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I&#039;d be furious if you needlessly  traumatized a small child, especially one I was worried about and loved, and also  inconvenienced the family  because you weren&#039;t paying attention to what you were doing -  in spite of the obvious need for care when dropping permanent adhesive near the eye.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Wound adhesive can be applied with a swab,  but if you are choosing to use a dropper, then a. forewarn what will happen if the adhesive gets in the eye - be preapred for the possibility, and pay attention.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Nice of you to fault the parents for the nurses mistake.</description>

		<description>I have had a kid flinch and move at the wrong moment and I glued his eye shut.  I felt very bad, apologized profusely, had them keep the margins moist with ointment, and that the eye would open in a few days.  I followed up by phone and by day two the eye was back open.  The parents were miffed, but I am glad they were not like these raving lunatics.  Just move past it.</description>
