One of my colleagues is a Cuban physician (who works essentially as a P.A. here). While a Cuban citizen, he was sent on government medical "missions", to Africa for example, where the Cuban government received about $70,000 per year and he was paid only about $75 or $80 per MONTH. Your family remained behind in Cuba and you were told that if you ever wanted to see them again, you would not defect. This is slavery pure and simple. It is time that people see Cuba for what it is. There is no occupational outlet for the intellectually gifted in Cuba other than medicine (or teaching).<br/><br/>I am an attorney and investment banker.
