Chantix for alcohol abuse?

Chantix works pretty well for smoking cessation. Now they are investigating it’s effects for alcohol and possibly gambling and painkiller abuse. This must be music to Pfizer’s ears.

hbuwwcMight it work for other compulsive behaviours as well (e.g. kleptomania, anorexia nervosa, compulsive shopping? Suppress other desires, maybe the urge to stalk a celebrity or other impossible love interest, or even aid treatment some of the more recalcitrant paraphilias – such as pedophilia ?
