Uninsured in America

Sure I’d like to turn everything over to government bureaucrats. Couldn’t be any worse than the high school graduate who sits in a call center denying your requests for services.

Or dealing with the absurd, mean-spirited bureacracy of medical clinics that specialize in giving non-answers to straight questions, and doing everything possible to avoid even the hint of actually backing any decision with facts or figures. Deny, deny, deny…followed immediately by “we did nothing wrong!”…which is of course not to say you did the right thing, either.

Health care has perfected the art of bureaucracy itself. Blame the government, fine, but when you’re done pointing fingers there, look in the mirror. You’re every bit as guilty.

I learned that 1. politicians may exaggerate things and 2. there are a 8 million people who want health care but don’t have it.

I doubt anyone can fix the first point. I saw nothing in this little gotcha that describes how we might insure the 8 million who need access.

Not sure why I get the feeling the creators felt triumphant over the making of this movie.

And I’ll add my 2 cents to the “hand my health care decisions over to government beaurocrats” nonsense. First cent: if this was ten years ago the same scene would have been made in reference to HMO beaurocrats. Second cent: government beaurocrats already buy 40% of the health care delivered in the USA.

I think we could use an EDIT function on this board, so we can correct out spelling mistakes…
