He was kicked off a train in the middle of a forest:
A 65-year-old St. Louis man is missing after Amtrak personnel, mistaking his diabetic shock for drunk and disorderly behavior, kicked him off a train in the middle of a national forest, according to police in Williams, Ariz.
As an aside, I initially thought someone hijacked my name on the link (www.kpho.com), before I realized it was a TV station in Phoenix. (via a reader tip)

Another example of how anything socialized (medicine, uneconomical transportation systems, etc) will treat people.
They’re immune from personal responsibility, after all. So it’s all right to mistreat people.
Now a former Amtrak fan, this story is very disturbing. If flight attendants and fellow passengers can deal with unruly passengers until the plane is on the ground, why can’t Amtrak personnel deal with a passenger until they are at least at the next station, where somebody can meet the passenger.
It is disgusting how they chose to deal with this individual, regardless of the etioloy of his unruly behavior.
Clearly, his doctor should be sued.
