CT scans and radiation exposure

I wrote a few days ago about the under-publicized radiation risk with CT scanning. With cardiac CT scans on the horizon, Dr. Wes expands on this. So, think about this the next time you want that CT scan “just to be safe”.

Who gives a crap? I will never be sued for giving someone cancer in 20 years from irradiating them with a CT Scan. But I will spend the rest of my life in court for “failure to Diagnose” if I don’t use the current available technology to rule out every remote possibility of disease. That’s what I’ve been forced to do to make a living.
