As I said there, prescriptions are loss leaders for these businesses, not their bread and butter. This is how they get away with it.

I can top that price differential. I got a prescription filled at the pharmacy recommended by the infertility specialist I was seeing at the time.

Price $35

A friend couldn’t afford to get hers filled at another pharmacy (not Walgreens). Price for the same medication. $500.

She was delighted to find a cheaper alternative for the SAME NAME BRAND DRUG.

Walgreens has nothing over some pharmacies.
