They approved my son to have speech therapy and then denied the claims. They are trying to stick me with the bill... I have had nothing but a horrible time dealing with this. I before hadnt had a problem with them but this is a huge bill and unacceptable. I also have personally heard doctors talk about UHC and how difficult it is to work with them

UHC is absolultly rediculas. UHC is just not doctor or patient friendly. UHC needs an ad like this because doctors everywhere are badtalking UHC in front of patients. I encourage my UHC patients to switch to another carrier when the opportunity arises.

This is the same insurance company who wants to PENALIZE doctors and patients who use a lab other than LabCorp. $50 penalty per incident for doctors and lower coverage or reimbursement for patients. Absolutely pathetic. And you know what is the worst thing about it? Consumers who read the add will probably believe that United Health Care is actually on their side. That is the power of money and advertising. Pathetic.

I actually wanted to vomit when I was reading the advertisement. Absolutely pathetic. She has been practicing for like 30 yrs and has had many patients she kept seeing into their 20's since she knew them since birth.

When I tried to credential with Empire Plan I was told their panel was "full". Repeated attempts to credential were met with inability to contact a live person at United (I still don't know who my provider relations rep is after almost 3yrs in practice).

So United would rather have a pediatrician treating adults than a boarded internist. The only reason I can think of an insurers' limiting their panel at all is that they save money by limiting access to care.

This is the most crooked insurer out there.

“> Ensuring access to the right care anywhere in the U.S….”

When i first started practice as a board-certified internist in NY, my mother (a pediatrician) was on United’s “Empire Plan” panel of providers.
