During the same time he gave himself around 20% raises three years in a row. None of us got any raises during those years. When they finally got rid of him, he got really nice chunk of money as a parting gift. Oh, the reason they got rid of him was that he came up with the brilliant plan to break the company up into competitive units. Somebody made a joke of inviting Gorbachev to replace this guy because of the experience in breaking up a conglomerate.</description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What else is new?
