And of course this has never, ever happened with paper records.

I agree with the independent urologist. I plan on encrypting my computers as well.

However, the problem lies in the securing the transmission of data. Fortunately, theft in transmission hasn’t occured yet, at least the the best of my knowledge.

And by teh way, why is this problem isolated to health information data. No one ever mentions today about online banking and financial transcations in terms of security.

Opps. I forgot about ID theft.

In sum, jsut use some common sense and low tech cheap tricks to keep your data secure.
