I worked as one part time in med school. We made minimum wage. My training group was full of people who lacked a high school diploma and/or were criminals. The company actually sent a woman with a burglary conviction into elderly people's homes! Until they raise the pay, there will be a shortage and the people you do get will not be desirable. But as long as radiologists make $600,000 per year, just one of many symbols of how screwed up the reimbursement system is, there will always be a shortage of home health care workers.
