"Doctors, Free Yourselves"

A physician responds to the increasing oversight of prescribing patterns:

Scott Gottlieb makes some strong points about the increasing encroachment by government on the doctor-patient relationship and medical decision-making. He fails to mention the main cause of this growing problem: the ever-expanding governmental financing of health care. Not until physicians reject direct government payment will they be able to fulfill their oath, “I will prescribe regimen for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment.”

And jsut imagine happens if the Federal gov’t becomes the only payor?!?!?!
