		<description>There are important inaccuracies in the article, such as the impression that doctors can take medicare with some patients while privately contracting with others, but I am glad the media is addressing the issue.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Regarding the opt rules of Medicare, it is my opinion that they are unconstitutional, although no court has ruled on the direct constitutional issue to my knowledge.  If a right to privacy protect abortion, it ought also to protect other medical services that people want the government to stay out of.  It is clear that the opt-out rules are overly restrictive, as very few physicians do so, yet medicare patients can&#039;t get services even when willing to pay for them privately.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;It is as if the feds think that once you have signed up for Medicare, they own you.</description>
