More than 40 percent of women in India have not heard of AIDS

1 Anonymous February 24, 2007 at 5:00 pm: It could get even worse for the women in India who are infected with AIDS and don’t know it – if their husbands decide they want to get rid of them, they could use the old “she cheated on me and got it from someone else” argument, and then, in fundamentalist Islamic households at least, the husbands would be entitled to kill them….
2 Ryan Frank February 26, 2007 at 11:51 am: Fortunately India is NOT a majority muslim country. However, Pakistan IS and I doubt the situtation is much better there.
