A prostitute for a disabled man in hospice care

January 27, 2007

A 22-year old requests a prostitute and a controversy is touched off:

Nick Wallis, 22, who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, persuaded staff at Douglas House, in Oxford, that he should be allowed to experience sex before he died, even if it meant paying a prostitute.

The case posed a major moral dilemma for Sister Frances Dominica, the founder of Douglas House, and its ethics committee.

The decision was taken to support Mr Wallis and hospice nurse Chris Bloor helped him find a suitable woman over the Internet.

Government procurement.
Once the government gets it’s hands on the sex care industry it will be run with the same high standards and efficiency as the health care system. Considering how British teeth look, one can only shudder imagining the standard issue prostitute.

…yeah Gasman, but it’s a good kind of shudder…

Thanks for the link to Pallimed. Seems after it hit your website it also popped up on Fox News and a few other Catholic sites. (I am pretty sure they did not get it from Pallimed.)

All jokes aside it seems to be a pretty thought provoking issue. I am sure if one talks about it at the next dinner party you will see a lot of varied responses.
