A better idea would be to stop examining each application and instead automatically accept all disability claims
Ha! I work at the VA. If they approved every claim as presented by the vet, then the federal government would be bankrupt.
I have a pt who claims his aortic valve replacement done in the 1990s is related to his history of seizures that he had while in the service 40 years prior!
Saw another who claimed PTSD, but gee, come to find out that he had never been in combat.
This LA times writer has no clue what they are saying.
