A girl squash champion does it with artificial legs

January 9, 2007

Inspiring story:

At the age of ten, Alice Harvey has already forged a reputation as a tough opponent on the squash court.

She regularly beats older players … many of whom don’t even realise that this remarkable competitor has artificial legs.

Alice developed meningitis at the age of 23 weeks. It led to blood poisoning and surgeons had to amputate her right leg below the knee and her left leg at the ankle.
