Cutting costs: Everyone gains except the hospital

With our current fee-for-service reimbursement system, the hospital ironically loses more money when it cuts out unnecessary tests.

The solution lies in 1)providers getting paid fairly for what you do along with 2)tort reform so that unnecessary tests are not performed and 3)doctors and hospitals who care about efficiency.

and 4) patients are responsible for paying for services rather than the idea and entitlement of “my insurance should cover it”
