This of course is coming from someone that is anti-corporation and pro-socialism. Last time I checked, CEOs and their corporations PRODUCE ECONOMIC GROWTH and government can only provide the means for such growth. Of course, your hero Karl Heinrich Marx, the great German philosopher, was anti-corporation as well and believed that, “The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles.” This quote I am sure is very familiar to you as it comes from the Communist Manifesto. Marx believed that capitalism would be replaced by communism and feared the corporation and worshipped at the alter of burocracy. It appears your politicians are about as accountable as those that stalked the Politburo in the now dissolved Soviet Union. I personally entrust the bourgeoisie and its lackeys over the Politburo anyday! As for you, I assume ignorance must be bliss.

Corporate execs have far better coverage on average than the general populace. Switch the word “politician” and “corporate exec” around and nothing changes. Except for the fact that politicians are accountable for their actions to the citizenry while CEO’s are accountable only to shareholders. As far as different drug approval goes, if there’s public outcry then the government is going to have to explain itself and/or rectify this situation. If there’s no outcry, then obviously nobody really cares and it’s a moot point.

By claiming that we have healthcare that’s under total government control, you’re neglecting the fact that most Canadians also have some form of private health insurance, provided by *private corporations*. Also, health products are bought from private corporations, drugs and technological advancements are developed at private companies…the list goes on.

Were you ignorant of these facts or did you choose to ignore them?

Also, is the situation in the U.S. so dire and undemocratic now as to leave the American people with no say in what direction their politicians set for the country? We elect our politicians and for the most part, they answer to us. I don’t understand this fear of “government control” while completely accepting corporate control. At least with government we have a say in policy and so forth.

I will trust corporations and the private sector any day over the government. This example of Canadian politicians and bureaucrats treating themselves as royalty and throwing the scraps to the general populace to fight over like common peasants is disgusting. Your mitigation of the facts is astounding, but not unexpected.

Please expand on your retort to the politicians and bureaucrats having total control of Canadian healthcare. Now, if you are referring to veterinary care, you are correct. Canadian household pets do in fact enjoy far superior private healthcare compared to their owners, unless of course the owner is a politician or bureaucrat.

On the flip side, it would be totally ridiculous to expect all drugs to be covered for all segments of society, especially the ever-expanding senior population. This is where their private insurance should kick in.
