Serial healthcare killers

Health care is a good profession to enter if one is contemplating a career as a serial killer. The killer gets to interact with their prey, then participate with the drama of the resuscitative efforts and investigation later. Anyone from the lowly Orderly to the attending physician can learn enough and access enough to have a long career of bumping people off.

Jack Kevorkian was probably the best serial killer. He found a population of psychologically vulnerable people, latched onto a cause that some in the public could support and killed away. Armed with careful legal advice he did this for over 120 people before he took the grandstanding behavior too far and finally gave the DA something that was prosecutable.

All they got him on was a narcotics charge for the barbiturate he used on the last patient. This was unrelated to his ‘mission’ and had he not been sloppy here could have kept it up for years more.
