A school is considering banning unvaccinated students

December 1, 2006

Maybe this will knock some sense into the anti-vaccine movement.

Knock some sense into them? I suspect this will simply increase their sense of persecution.

Noodle’s right… rational thought, attention to facts and “sense” in general have never been their strong suit. You can’t reason away someone’s faith-based notions.

“Faith based notions?” Do you intend that barb, Matthew, in a generic fashion or is there something in the article that referred specifically to some religious base to the non-vaccinateds’refusal to comply??

“Faith based notions” does not limit itself to some category of religion. So don’t rasie irrevelvant issues. Faith in medicine is what is being described. Let’s not get off the subject. This is medicine! The more doctors defend things not in medicine, the more we play into the hands of people out to demonize doctors.

To the contrary, I think most non-vaxers are aware that they may be banned from schools in times of outbreak.

It doesn’t make sense to ban unvacciniated children from school. If the vaccines are supposed to give a child immunity than why are people afraid of unvaccinated people.
Are they afraid that they’ll get sick? If they are afraid that they’ll get sick and the medical community supports them in this claim and fear, then that speaks volumes about the true efficacy of vaccines. The viruses are out there regardless. It doesn’t even make sense.
