Drug reps are suing their employers

December 2, 2006

Apparently they’re getting stiffed on overtime pay. I wonder how much of those 60-hour weeks are spent driving around the state to various hospitals and doctor’s offices:

Drug company agents, who say they routinely work 60-hour weeks visiting doctors’ offices, said Thursday that they had sued Pfizer Inc., Johnson & Johnson and six other drug companies for failing to pay overtime.

Thanks for posting about this issue.

90,000 pharma reps in the usa,you can’t watch the evening news without being bombarded.

What irks me is that the Eli Lilly company’s blockbuster Zyprexa has been implicated in causing TEN times greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
They then turn around and sell other blockbuster drugs to treat the same diabetes.
