“It’s hard to describe the emotions which flood over you when you are given news like this.”
I’ve always puzzled over usage of the word you, when of course the speaker is speaking of their own personal experience. The speaker relating their first person account immediatly shifts into describing things sceond person, as it were from my perspective. Please, tell me how you feel (as the story teller) , not how I feel.
