Many patients believe the “more testing = better medicine” myth. No where is this better seen than in the ER.

While I agree with the first sentence, you cannot conclude it from the article.
The article is about people wanting X-rays because to claim injury after an accident. They don’t care if it is better care, they just want it to show injury.

Normal X-rays never helped collect a dime for those who want an X-ray not an opinion. I too gave up on trying to provide an opinion when they just want X-rays. (The best one really was: “My lawyer says I need X-rays.”)

Yes I agree with this. Before taking treatment it is better have more test.
