I am not sure about her periods - maybe she had bleeding like this woman or maybe it has always been irregular so she just failed to notice. Anyway, she gets real upset at the size of her belly, thinks she has a tumor or something and runs to her mom, who by the way was a doctor herself -- "mommy, my belly is big, why could it be?". Her mother sends her for a pregnancy test and ... surprise, surprise. They got them married quickly, but it didn't last. <br/>If this sounds hard to believe, keep in mind that we've never had sex education, the subject was pretty much tabu and the mindset there was pretty puritanical as far as sex was concerned (if anyone remembers one of first TV "bridges" that Phil Donahue organized when an American woman asked a Russian woman about sex and the latter said "we don't have it").

Something along the same lines happened to a girl I went to school with back in Soviet Union during the late 70s.

When she was in the first year of college, medical no less (over there there was no pre-med, med school, just a single “medical institute” – but we did have lots of science in school), she went out with some guy one night, slept with him without protection, then they broke up.
Some months later she notices that her belly is getting bigger. To be pregnant and not recognize the signs proves that she is too damn fat.

What a massive pig.
