Who has gotten squeezed for profits? Actually it has been doctors, and not customers of UNH. Like it or not, UNH has done a lot to control the compensation of doctors by pitting them against each other for their large base of insureds. <br/><br/>That being said, UNH has succeeded by insuring a lot of people. That's not such a bad thing, is it? You must realize that United Health Group was created in response to the need for a third party payer system in the United States in the 1980′s.
