Completed the first year material (in this second year), failed second year classes, thus joining class of 1991, further academic troubles ensued with his clinical years, finially graduating 1993, 8 years after beginning a 4 year program.
AK, began med school with a masters degree in anatomy from St. Louis University. Failed ironically, human anatomy first semester. Failed neuro anatomy and physiology second semester and dropped out.
LW, failed biochemistry and histology first semester. failed physiology second semester, dropped out.

I'm certain being so unprepared as to flunk all those classes was very unsatisfying.

Might also be that they are not as well prepared academically to cope with the rigors.

At the Univeristy of Missouri, class of 1990 we had 3 blacks.
MB, actually started with the class of 89, did so poorly that he repeated all but one class beginning with my group, in 1996.
