I do think Kaiser really wants a pet blogger, though, and you can&#039;t deny that pitching an event about Kaiser&#039;s &quot;EMR challenges&quot; right now is PR positioning. And the event features Kaiser TV commercial spokeswoman Kate Christensen. I&#039;m sure there will be an irresistable photo op of her hugging the stuffing out of Matthew.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Given Matthew&#039;s chosen career as a health care consultant (with a favorable disposition on Kaiser, as well as a recent focus on PHRs), I can understand why he can&#039;t exactly turn this down. Even if this isn&#039;t a literal paycheck, it adds to Matthew&#039;s professional credibility. I&#039;d say this is more like a Faustian bargain than a conspiracy.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I&#039;m still disappointed, though. Justen Deal is still on administrative leave. This is not the time to be helping Kaiser amplify their message about the EMR.  They already have gross advantages in terms of amplification.</description>
