The deposition of venom is mostly time dependent. It does not matter how you remove the stinger, whether by the shaving method with a knife or just grasping with fingers or tweezers. Squeezing didn't release any more venom, but any delay while looking for a knife to effect the folk wisdom method does result in more venom deposition.
