Wonderful article on the NEJM
Boston Magazine writes on the controversies and challenges facing The Journal. Primarily on its relationship with pharmaceuticals, and its association with the Massachusetts Medical Society. Required reading.

It is a dreadful article -- a vicious, character assasination of a great editor who has far more vision than his 3 predecessors combined. It has many inaccuracies and shows utterly no understanding of publishing or medicine.
