Australians deserve this. I was rejected via the internet as an immigrant, I was never told why; my points never added up.Obviously the Aussies never felt the need for a European OB. So now they can live without one. But they can quit the whining, this is a stew they have cooked themselves, now they can eat it.
“For thos who come across the sea, we’ve boundless plains to share…” – but not for doctors obviously. A phone call to the Australian Embassy revealed “doctors? no, we’ve got quite enough of those. Now, nurses or physiotherapists, that would be something else…have you tried New Zealand?”
There must be a shortage. I just returned from the national meeting for the American College of Emergency Physicians. Along vendor row there were several booths recruiting from places in Australia.
