Dr. Centor on the idiocy of the IOM ER recommendations:
The arrogance of the report is highlighted in their belief that hospitals can squeeze in more patients than they have beds . . .. . . I know members of the IOM committee. I do believe they want the best for patients. I do believe that are totally off base in their recommendations.

I’ve commented on yours, DB’s and RW’s comments over at my place.
The only real idiocy in those recommendatins was the sugested pot of $50 million to defray unfunded costs. That wouldn’t cover the costs in my county, let alone the US.
