We are a society that is so very cruel! Sad.

Interesting I should come upon this post.
I can attest to the fact, we as a society and even in medicine..have not come far, when it comes to perceptions of cancer and all that entails. I am a cancer survivor. I was asked to come in to the Dr.s office to fill in on my day off and I had to tell why I could not fill in, on my day off, that I had an appt.(they found out was an oncology appt.) I was told by the office manager, with no one around, “Great you’re f’n dying, you should have told us sooner.” This is how life after cancer and all it’s treatments started. Needless to say…I left the practice, and learned to hide my past medical history.

Ouch. To all of the above stories. Most of those people must have never experience the gut wrenching agony of seeing a loved one ill. Or perhaps they don’t love anyone.

The woman who was fired by the surgeon should sue him for violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. And also for being a huge asshole.
