Only an apologist for Big Law could consider Walter Olson a lobbyist for the insurance industry….
Exhibit A: Donna Baker Rovito, another lobbyist for the insurance industry! Donna, if you’ve ever read Walter, you’d know that is exactly what he is, and what he always has been.
What is “Big Law” in your mind Donna? In the legal community, it’s typically known as the multinational firms with hundreds of lawyers who represent major companies around the world. Including insurance companies. Did you know AIG has over 700 firms on retainer Donna? Is that “Big Law”?
“Exhibit A: Donna Baker Rovito, another lobbyist for the insurance industry!”
Well, that’s certainly news to me – which insurers are paying me to lobby for them and why am I not receiving any checks?
And here, I thought I was a volunteer advocate for medical liability reform on behalf of doctors and patients!
Hey, whoever you are, thanks for setting me straight – but, again, who exactly is paying me to lobby for them and where are my checks?
Oh, and by “Big Law,” I mean the politically active and connected members of the trial bar who have such a STRONG influence on legislation that affects their incomes….
And it’s BAVER Rovito, thank you very much….
