Another example of how homeopathy risks lives

July 16, 2006

Some are advising against malaria prophylaxis:

Some homeopathic practices tell people they need not take conventional anti-malaria drugs in high-risk parts of the world, an investigation by BBC2’s Newsnight has revealed.

Instead, the clinics say that their remedies are sufficient to protect against malaria.

Natural selection. Those that buy into this pseudoscience (can it even be called that) and then expose themselves to the pathogen help to eliminate the vapid from the gene pool. One only hopes that they did not have the opportunity to breed prior to their timely demise.

We also have a group of streetwalker physicians that have bedded with the trial lawyers and the envirofascists against the use of DDT – the most effective treatment for mitigation of the Anopheles mosquito vector. I wonder which group is responsible for a greater number of illnesses and death secondary to malaria – the misguided pseudoscientific homeopaths or the streetwalkers?

DDT eh. Yeah let’s bring back DDT. Screw the Bald Eagles and all the other avian predators on top of the the food chain. Hell while we are at it lets’s bring back whaling. After all the Japan and Norway want it (right Samson). Screw the whales they eat OUR fish. Let’s also bring back 1960 emission standards and do tonsillectomies on everybody “just because”.

Do us a favor anon. go somewhere else, you are a fucking idiot.

No, perhaps it should be you, who should tell the hundreds of thousand in Africa that have to deal with scourge of malaria as to why your little envirofascist crusade is of preeminent importance.

You’d be surprised at the number of intelligent, open-minded people who believe there is something to homeopathy. While it’s cool and fun to put others down constantly (armchair superiority, baby!), the fact of the matter is that these people are often ignorant — not stupid. There is a huge difference.
