Interestingly, Dentists are a profession that avoided full incorporation into the NHS – the situation with dentists is more akin to medicare in the US. Hence the poor coverage.
Time to pull out Lisa Simpson’s Book of British Smiles…
The strangling regulation and poor government pay has caused dentists to leave for the private sector which is why there is poor coverage. It has nothing to do with incorporation into the NHS. I mean, the NHS service is just super duper, I love waiting months for an operation. If the govt left health care alone it would be cheaper for everyone and better run because the market would adjust to the demand. Right now they’re not even pretending to try and fix things.
