Meet the physician who is clogging up the court system with frivolous lawsuits:
“In 40 years of practice, she is one of the most litigious and filing non-attorneys I have ever seen,” said Tom Keever, chief of the Denton County district attorney’s civil division . . .. . . Rohr, who serves as her own attorney, has filed suit over such things as being forbidden to go to the bathroom during a traffic stop. None of the suits have gone to trial or been settled.

I don’t understand the part where it says she is serving six months in jailfor calling her trial a farce. Was six months the original sentence given at the trial in question or is she really serving that time for calling it a “farce” after the fact? If it is the latter, I wasn’t aware they could do that…
When she said it and how she said it would matter. Contempt of court can indeed land you in the pokey, not sure what her situation is. Except she’s a nut.

Link here to the Dallas Morning News has her sentencing details.
She was sentenced to six months for the crime, and is serving six months in a seperate sentence for contempt…apparently she made repeated outbursts during the trial which resulted in a contempt conviction.
Since that link requires registration, here’s the relevant bit:
The judge already sentenced Dr. Rohr to six months in jail for contempt of court in response to outbursts during her trial. She will serve her contempt sentence concurrently with the six-month term Judge Shipman gave her Thursday.
Truly frivolous suits are filed 90% of the time by people acting as their own lawyer.
“Truly frivolous suits are filed 90% of the time by people acting as their own lawyer.”
Feel free to link an article that supports that hypothesis. I am waiting.
