Medical Economics asks if you should apologize to your patient in case of a medical error and quotes The Washington Post essayist Marjorie Williams:

“Where else but in medicine do you find men and women who never admit a mistake?

Who talk more than they listen and feel entitled to withhold crucial information?”

Where do you find people who won’t admit a mistake? Everywhere.
Don’t these pundits read the newspaper?
And more reality…doctors do admit mistakes. Not all doctors, not some all the time.

Some doctors do. But others don’t like it when you point out some slips.

“Where do you find people who won’t admit a mistake? Everywhere.”

The fact that everyone else is doing it does not make it OK.

I’ve been through the whole medical mistake drama. What pissed me off the most was the silence.

Where else do you risk being sued for millions of dollars of “pain and suffering”?

It will take a long time, but eventually attorneys and other public-spirited people will clean up the cesspit that is Western medicine. The bright light of truth and morality eventually will prevail, and the butchers who cut, burn, poison, and maim their helpless victims will be just another dark memory.

You again? Don’t you have anything original to say? You keep repeating your same asinine comments from post to post.

    Driving down the highway.

No no, I like the hyperbolic rhetoric, it kind of makes me feel like Darth Vader. And what is cooler than Darth Vader? Nothing.

Give in to the Dark Side, join me and we will rule the Galaxy as father and son!

    Paraphrase this:

It will take a long time but eventually attorneys and other pocket-spirited people will clean up the remains of western medicine. Now public spirited people cut, burn, maim our helpless civilization in bright light and what will remain are the dark memories of a country, which used to be called United States of America.
