Everybody wears them in the hospital now, whether you are a janitor or the chief of neurosurgery. All the nurses and techs wear white coats too. Wearing a white coat doesnt mean a damn thing anymore. So I'm sick of hearing my professors talk about how the white coat must be worn because its some kind of symbol of authority and professionalism.
