I must admit that naked doctors would certainly make things more interesting! I might even go see one more often … >;o)

On a more serious note, there’s nothing that can’t be contaminated. If the physician abandons his ties, and then his white coat, and then his outerwear … what’s next, the epidermis?

A pediatrician once commented: I don’t have a decent necktie to my name.

I might consider paying your price out of pocket, instead of using my ins., if you all start practicing naked! Drs. should be teaching us about anatomy anyway, what better way?

Doctors always claim that nudity is no big deal because they are professionals.” Let them put their $ where they mouths are.

(Though, of course, the bit about doctor’s being indifferet to patient nudity. It is essential to reify their professional authority and control. Nakedness is almost a universal cultural signifier for weakness and shame.)

I have never heard a physician say that…I have heard patients say this on many occasions…

OK, I’m thinking back over the various doctors I’ve seen over the years and I have to say no to naked doctors. Make that No!
:7)

Well, as I think back over them, I can definitely think of one I would love to see in the nude.

I’m a med student, and I say get rid of the white coats completely. Everybody wears them in the hospital now, whether you are a janitor or the chief of neurosurgery. All the nurses and techs wear white coats too. Wearing a white coat doesnt mean a damn thing anymore. So I’m sick of hearing my professors talk about how the white coat must be worn because its some kind of symbol of authority and professionalism. Thats a load of BS.

I say dump it and just wear regular clothes. Get rid of the tie.

Tie and white coat are not like other clothes because they dont get washed that often. Its better to just wear regular shirts with no tie because at least people wash those once or more per week. I dont know of anybody who washes their ties.

Hey then we wouldn’t have to do laudry. There are some doctors I would like to see naked and other I would not. If the doctor looked really gross I know that I would not go back to see that doctor but then what do the other people in the office working with doctor wear, that my be really scary. I would like to know what other people would think. Maybe send a replay?
