Home diagnostic tests are surging:
"If a test is (positive), then they obviously go in to the doctor to have further evaluation," said Adams, who founded the company 10 years ago. "If everything is fine, then you don't have to waste half a day going to the stupid doctor."

More tests! More meds! Help me, I'm a victim of modern life, my kids on drugs and I don't know why I'm not as rich/happy/thin etc as the people I see on drug commercials!

Well, pregnancy tests have been around for a while and they are useful.
I can also see the use for menopause test: women who suspect they have POF and who now go to doctors with their sysmptoms and their suspicions year after year after year and beg to test their hormones only to be brushed off "you cannot possibly be in menopause, you are too young". Will save them years of worry, symtoms; may also help their bones.
