Complex technology must be made safe from human error. The airline industry has figured this out long ago. Knobs and levers are clearly marked and have shapes that help insure users don’t confuse function.

The best test for technology would be to have the average young grade schooler attempt to use the equipment in test circumstances to determine whether it is truely user friendly.
