10 medical symptoms that require immediate attention.

Comments:
Great Kevin,

Just what I need. To see more people at work today with dizziness, numbness, bogus chest pain, fibrocystic breast disease in the ER today.

Throat Tightness??

You realize how many fat refluxers already clog up the ER's with this complaint?

Wouldn't it have been better to state that you shold seek attention if you have progerssive difficulty BREATHING associated with a sypmtom of throat tightness?

1. I have a stomache ache and my mother is a malpractice plaintiff's attorney.
2. I'm a drunk asshole, I want to kill everyone, and if you tie me down to the bed I will sue you tomorrow.

3. I'm an attorney, I just tried to kill myself by overdosing with Tylenol. If you try to give me N-acetylcysteine I will take you to court and sue you for assault.

4. I'm the brother of the above attorney and if you don't give her the NAC I will sue you for letting her die.

5. I need demerol for my foot pain. You won't give it to me? How do you spell your last name? You're going to be in district court tomorrow for this.

All the above 5 complaints are true stories.

Sent by PCP's yesterday to the ER.

1. 29 year old woman who slept on her hand in a flexed position and woke up with it numb.

2. 1 year old who was accidently "dropped" when mom tripped 2 DAYS ago. Kid is doing fine with no visible evidence of any injury.

3. 4 people with fever and "achy al over" "r/o meningitis". All were more well than I was.

Job security. I said Hi and bye to them all. I could have irradiated them all, got neuro consults, done LP's on the last four, billed for the procedures, and given them all a headache just to make sure I was practicing in a retrospectoscope "standard of care"

you should have irradiated them and lp'ed them...you will after you get burned by a lawsuit...
