Merck tried to alter hypertension “guidelines” to favor Cozaar. That’s pretty shameful.

Clearly tort reform is the only answer. The only reason Merck would do something like this is because of a horrible legal climate! Hopefully the AMA will be on the case soon.
Wyeth (amiodarone) and Genentech (Tpa) have infiltrated and influenced the American Heart Association (AHA). Even the super smart, brilliant, legend in his own mind, Elliot bought that one hook, line, and sinker. Trickery and deceipt is everywhere when money is involved.

Also problematic is the issue of certain medical specialty societies or entities writing clinical “guidelines” that may not be applicable or practicle to practice in other settings, such as the ER
