The republicans are actually trying to put an end to the above waste of our tax dollars. (They want to waste it their own way). The democrats voted down bans on “fast food lawsuits” last time, guess who greases their asses?

At the age of 6, I would’ve considered a simple milk shake a poor reward for my “suffering”. Why would I want a treat that I could get anyway? A doll or some other toy or a new pretty dress would have been much better. It’s amazing that the mother couldn’t have thought of a better treat.
I never saw midnight until grad school.

Are you kidding? We'd have to put 25% of parents in jail if obesity was abuse. Plus it sounds like mom was trying to help out by offering food if the kid cooperates.

When I walk in to see a kid half the time I can't get the parent to put down their cellphone and talk to me. Then they get angry when I interrupt their cellphone call. I actually had a parent walk out with her kid (her child had abdominal pain) cause I interrupted the phone call. I've actually thought of calling the room from the nurses station to talk to the parent on THEIR cellphone.

Agree with the above. I saw a 125 lb year old six year old at 0300 this morning with a live cockroach in her ear. Mom says the girl went to sleep at midnight. (I never saw midnight until college) Mom was 300 plus pounds herself. Getting a roach out of a tiny ear canal aint easy so mom says they will stop by Jack In The Box for a milkshake if she can cooperate.

It would be funny only if it wasn’t true.

There are a lot more fat kids today. They don’t exercise, they’re sitting all day and are not tired at night because they haven’t done anything all day except eat and sit on their buttocks. They’re parents are the same way. They all go to the doctor and ask for sleeping pills. The doctor writes the prescription because that’s the easiest and quickest way to get out of that room.
