Comments:
I'm confused. The article indicates "a second blood test had been carried out. This sample was analysed at a laboratory in Germany and was negative for Lassa fever", and there is an alternative explanation for his collapse - heatstroke from running.
The article also says
DIC, his official cause of death, is the commonest cause of fatality from heatstroke.
His initial test done locally for Lassa was positive - but isn't there sufficient reason to question whether he had it and died of it?
