We need to reform a system which alleges to pay for a service and decides after the fact that it wasn't worth that much after all. We need to reform a system which takes a 90 days float on the back of hard working people before unscrupulously reducing the payment amount and claiming that too much time has passed for an appeal. We need to reform a system whereby the consumer of a product is not the purchaser of the product. We need to reform a system which makes unfunded mandates upon physicians while simultaneously reducing reimbursement for services. We need to reform a system which overvalues technical skills and undervalues cognitive ones.

There IS need for reform. After all, here are doctors, as PLAINTIFFS, attempting to drag hundreds of millions, if not billions, out of a helpless insurance company. Using your typical logic, this will greatly increase the cost of health care. What's more, they're doing it as a CLASS ACTION!

Doesn't this indicate that there is no sense left in our legal system? That the need for reform is urgent? Where is the outrage?

I’m really surprised none of you commented on this.
