A doctor, blinded by an attempted murder, now works as a medical transcriptionist
“BLINDNESS has not stopped Michael Borgonia, 37, a former government physician in Balamban, Cebu, from pursuing a new career in medical transcription.
Borgonia lost his sight four years ago after surviving an attempted murder.
In March 2001, several hired killers gunned him down as he was on his way out of the Balamban district hospital, where he served as a government physician for more than seven years.
After being shot in the head, he was left for dead by his killers, apparently hired by a woman he had a fight with the month before. Borgonia survived after being rushed to the Cebu Doctors Hospital, where the bullet was removed.
The gunshot to the head however led to the detachment of his retina, while also damaging his optic nerve.”

I know alot of you lawyers out there are in tears and want to head out to Balamban, Cebu, to “help” him, but I heard they don’t have lawyers out there. Since he’s blind, maybe you guys can just show up and pickpocket him the old-fashoined way, instead of representing him.
I just want to reply the comment about michael borgonia’s success…he really deserve it, i knew michael since i was small, we used to grew up at the same town and went at the same schools,he was my brother’s classmate since kinder to highschool and her sister and his wife were my classmates and a my friends too and his younger brother went to school with my younger brod,and we used to call his grandfather as tatay mayeng, regarding the lawyers for michael he has many very,very good lawyers cause he has three lawyers in the family as far as i know, his youngest brother j-r,a university of the philippines graduate and a 9th placer of the bar examination, he has his uncle also who is a lawyer(his dad’s brother) and a cousin atty. matt borgonia jo. so you better inform first guys before commenting because in balamban we got it all!!!
