So sad to read that suffocating the tick with clear nail polish (or peanut butter!) is ineffective since the tick might take hours to die. Peanut butter aside, my stepdad gets points for teaching us the right way.

Yep. That’s why even the tiniest Swiss Army knives loved by Appalachian Trail hikers still have tweezers on them.
