He knew exactly what he was doing - pandering to a voting bloc.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Calls for him to lose (I don&#039;t know about the license) are certainly appropriate.  He&#039;s a national politician - if he can&#039;t take the heat, he should get out of the kitchen.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;He, like every other politician on that level, has undoubtedly been the beneficiary of some inappropriate and unfair attacks on his opponents.
